Knowledge Base is the module for internal documents: policies, guides, process descriptions and training material.
Structure
Categories work like folders and can be nested. Each category has a name, a description, per-role access settings and a public-access flag.
Articles belong to exactly one category. They are written in a block editor that supports headings, lists, tables, code, images and files.
Working with it
- Creating an article β hover over a category and a + button appears on the right
- Autosave β an article is saved automatically as you edit it
- Blocks β every element (paragraph, heading, list) is its own block. Blocks can be moved, duplicated or turned into another type through the β Ώ menu
- The / command β press
/on an empty line to pick the type of a new block - Moving content in β paste from Word, Google Docs or a web page and the formatting is preserved
- Drag & drop β drop files straight into the editor
Public categories
A category marked "public" makes its articles readable without signing in β useful for customer-facing documentation and FAQs.
Access
Rights are set per category: read, create, edit, delete. They are assigned by role. If nothing is set, the category is available to every role that holds the matching permissions.
